Online retailer Walmart announced it would pay $1.5 million to settle a lawsuit filed by former employees who alleged they were fired for criticizing the company.

The lawsuit alleged that employees who worked for the online retailer were denied overtime pay and denied health care coverage.

The employees, who also alleged the company retaliated against them, were represented by a lawyer for Walmart.

Walmart said in a statement on Friday it “agreed to pay $950,000 to resolve the lawsuit in the name of our employees, our suppliers, and our shareholders.”
